East Steel PLC is a leading private steel manufacturing company in Ethiopia. The company is inviting qualified fresh graduates to apply for the position of Finance Assistant.

Finance Assistant

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily data entry and maintain accounting records.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with different departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Support senior accountants with additional accounting tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Previous internship or accounting experience is an advantage.
